Julia Hutchinson
Julia Staton began her career as a middle school social studies teacher and transitioned into social work, after spending time in both fields she found her passion with the combination of both through Social and Emotional Learning. This passion has continued through her work at the regional cooperative KEDC as a Social and Emotional Learning Specialist, transition specialist, regional PBIS Coordinator, and a member of the DEIB team. Most recently, Julia has transitioned into the position of project coordinator for the KEDC THRIVE AWARE grant. Julia lives in Owingsville, KY with her two children John Robert and Lilly Clay who keep life interesting with travel baseball, basketball, and ballet. She is active in her local community through her advocacy work for adults with disabilities, Special Olympics, her church, youth sports programs, and various other professional and civic organizations

Meghan Martin
Meghan Martin has spent the majority of her career working across the state of Kentucky providing technical assistance to schools, districts, and state agencies. Prior to her current role as a consultant she was a classroom teacher, school counselor, and Intervention Coordinator. Her areas of focus include include multi-tiered prevention systems, positive behavior interventions and supports, trauma sensitive practices, school mental health wellness, suicide prevention, juvenile justice facility systems implementation, school safety and security, threat assessment, risk assessment, crisis response, and Handle with Care. Martin holds a master’s degree in both school counseling and gifted education, and a Rank 1 in educational psychology.
In addition, Martin serves on the board of directors for the Kentucky Council for Children with Behavior Disorders, serves as a Court Appointed Victim’s Advocate for youth in the foster care system, and serves on the Eastern Kentucky University CACREP Advisory Board. Meghan lives in Madison County with her husband and four children.
